where to find the best shops
Shopping on Aruba
Aruba is not just about stunning beaches and turquoise waters, it’s also a shopper’s paradise! Whether you’re looking for high-end brands, local crafts, or unique souvenirs, the island offers a variety of shopping destinations to explore.
Paseo Herencia Mall
Located in the Palm Beach area, the Paseo Herencia Mall is a lively shopping and entertainment center. Here, you’ll find a mix of well-known international brands, local boutiques, and souvenir shops. The mall also features a variety of dining options and an open-air courtyard with nightly water and light shows, making it a great place to shop and unwind. The Paseo Herencia Mall is only a 5 minutes drive from our Villa Tibushi and the Aruba Studios.
Palm Beach shopping area
If you walk along the high rise hotel area in Palm Beach, you will find plenty of (souvenir) shops. Right across from the Hilton Hotel, there is a vibrant area filled with market stalls selling local souvenirs. A great place to visit in the evening when it really comes to life.
Downtown Oranjestad & Main street
For a more traditional shopping experience, head to downtown Oranjestad. The city’s Main Street (Caya Betico Croes) is lined with colorful Dutch colonial-style buildings that house a mix of jewelry stores, fashion boutiques, and souvenir shops. It’s the perfect place to find locally made gifts, designer clothing, and famous Aruban aloe products. To make shopping even more convenient, a free trolley (tram) runs through the heart of Oranjestad, making it easy to hop on and off as you explore the shops and nearby attractions. Visit Downtown on a Monday or Thursday, when there aren’t any cruiseships in town, for a more quiet atmosphere.
Renaissance Mall
If luxury shopping is what you’re after, the Renaissance Mall is the place to be. This upscale shopping center offers high-end brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Cartier. It’s the best spot on the island for designer shopping, and its air-conditioned indoor setting provides a refreshing break from the Caribbean sun. At a short walking distance, you will find the Renaissance Market Place right at the marina with souvenir shops, restaurants and a cinema.
